Accountable for ensuring balance sheet integrity, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and a strong control environment in the plant by managing a complete and thorough month end close process. Ensure full compliance and improvement of site Sarbanes-Oxley requirements; exemplify integrity and doing the right thing; identify and mitigate business risks; proactively seek and improve deficiencies. Partner with the Site Leader to manage and control all facets of the DC’s efficiency and productivity; frame financial and operational issues in a complete business case format and contribute to strategic site direction. Drive negotiations with key vendors directly or through procurement; lead or participate in presentations to DC employees and management. Take responsibility for plant accounting operations as well as financial and operations management. Provide operational financial reporting, financial analysis, and SG&A cost analysis; prepare and manage actual, forecast, and budget scenarios; analyze plant performance and variances; supply strategic tools and reports to drive business results. Serve as project manager on cost reduction initiatives; collaborate with engineers, procurement, and site operators to drive cost reductions. The Person
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA or MBA is a plus. AS400, SAP, Ariba and Oracle experience is required. 5-7 years Finance/Controllership experience; preferably with a publicly traded/large company. Advanced knowledge of MS Office and strong IT background. Inventory experience is a plus. Demonstrated personal drive, willingness to accept responsibility, strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills. Continuous improvement mindset; ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and deliver results. Working knowledge of accounting principles; strong analytical skills to manipulate and interpret large data sets; ability to present and communicate at all levels; strong interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally.
