The Plant Controller will oversee site performance, including site financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and providing strategic advice to plant and business unit management on key drivers influencing site performance. The role ensures accurate and timely financial information for decision-making and supports a controlled environment that maintains data integrity. The individual is expected to be an active participant in the plant-level leadership team and to drive improvements in site-level performance. The role requires expertise in cost accounting to drive product line costing and overall plant productivity. The role reports directly to the Business Unit Controller and offers opportunities for career growth within 3-5 years based on contributions to organizational goals. What You’ll Do At Justrite
Site Financial Reporting: lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes Prepare and deliver plant financial forecasts and projections to Plant Leader Monitor the plant’s monthly closing process with the accounting team Communicate results to management and non-financial personnel Provide in-depth variance analysis and risk assessment with Site Ops Leaders; ensure alignment with plant budget and forecast Provide contingency planning and risk analysis Budgeting And Forecasting: participate in development of annual operational objectives aligned to corporate objectives; update forecasts quarterly; monitor performance against budgets/forecasts; identify improvement opportunities and drive productivity and corrective actions Drive Plant Profitability And Productivity: lead actions to achieve targets, mitigate risk, prioritize resources; provide analytics to anticipate change and drive decisions; analyze investments and communicate ROI; educate plant personnel on metrics with high audit standards Compliance, Regulatory Reporting And Internal Controls: maintain internal controls, data integrity, asset protection, and adherence to policies and regulations (GAAP, tax, etc.); support tax filings and annual audits; mitigate financial risk through proactive analysis Product Costing & Cost Accounting SME: establish and maintain standard costs; analyze variances; support operational planning; optimize costs and ensure accurate inventory valuation Cross-Functional Leadership & Team Contribution: collaborate across the organization; lead or participate in teams; share best practices; align teams to drive results; be visible on the site floor Your Skills And Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field 7+ years of experience with a heavy focus on manufacturing Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and cost accounting Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems (Syteline preferred, SAP, Oracle, Frontier, etc.) Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; leadership and team-management abilities; comfortable on the plant floor Compensation
The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000. Base salaries vary by location, experience, and performance. The role is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on business and financial targets. Benefits
