Manager, General
is responsible for developing and securing revenue and market share through promotion and sales of all services and products, establishing and targeting accounts. This role involves leading, directing, and managing operations to ensure high service quality, customer satisfaction, and achievement of sales and operational KPIs. Key responsibilities include: Maintaining profitable, cost-efficient operations and supporting all sales efforts in compliance with policies and regulations. Identifying business opportunities and generating profitable sales to meet revenue goals. Leading site operations to maximize profitability and customer service. Developing and implementing sales plans. Building strategic relationships with clients to understand and create value. Collaborating with sales and operations teams to develop solutions for customer needs. Managing resources to ensure quality and efficiency. Maintaining positive customer relations and resolving issues promptly. Improving processes for excellent customer service. Ensuring proper use of multimode providers and compliance of external partners. Reviewing P&L performance and adjusting goals accordingly. Cross-selling products and services in a global team environment. Monitoring sales activity and adjusting strategies as needed. Facilitating client meetings and coordinating with operations to meet expectations. Ensuring safety and professionalism in freight handling and station environment. Regular attendance and compliance with security procedures. Performing other duties as assigned. Qualifications include: Ability to identify issues and opportunities in customer service. Financial management skills for a designated station. Experience managing external service providers. Knowledge of all products and services. Performance stability under pressure. Effective communication skills at management level. Leadership and participative management skills. Ability to interpret complex documents and reports. Problem-solving and analytical skills. Eligibility to work in the United States; no sponsorship available. Supervision involves managing 6-10 employees, including hiring, training, performance appraisal, and discipline. Minimum education is an Associate's degree with 5-7 years of experience, preferably in transportation, with supervisory experience desired. Travel up to 25% may be required.
