Manager, CCSG Support

The Manager, CCSG Support oversees administrative and financial aspects of the Sponsored Programs division, aiming to increase sponsored funding levels and optimize research funding use. The role involves developing policies and implementing effective methods to achieve these goals. Core Job Functions
Review budget variances with senior staff and develop corrective plans. Prepare monthly variance reports and assist in grant report preparations. Maintain portfolios for private and government grants. Develop grant allocation systems and manage overhead and allocation tables. Analyze operating costs and develop budget modifications. Approve disbursement requests ensuring accuracy and fund availability. Establish and assess internal controls and compliance with university policies. This list is not exhaustive and may include other duties as necessary. Core Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes: Understanding of business and management principles. Ability to manage department operations and develop goals supporting strategic plans. Effective planning, delegation, and supervision skills. Leadership, motivation, development, and training abilities. Department Specifics
SCCC seeks a professional to support its NCI designation by managing CCSG renewal and compliance, coordinating communication, and supporting strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage CCSG application processes ensuring NCI guideline compliance. Coordinate data collection for reports and milestones. Support strategic planning and ensure alignment with CCSG goals. Develop and review CCSG materials and reports. Support and track CCSG meetings and action items. Supervise team members supporting CCSG deliverables. Preferred Skills & Experience
Advanced degree or cancer center experience. Knowledge of CCSG and cancer research. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Experience with strategic planning and multi-project management.
