Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking the best talent for an Associate Director, Data Operations & Strategy to join the team in Titusville, NJ or Horsham, PA. The role focuses on building, evolving, and upgrading J&J’s approach to delivering insights and analytics capabilities within the Innovative Medicine U.S. organization, with a focus on Neuroscience. The Associate Director will partner with internal and external stakeholders and managing data platform delivery to support AI, analytics, and reporting across engagement channels. This is a hybrid role; specific cities are for reference and do not limit the application process. You Will Be Responsible For
Timely and accurate processing of syndicated and non-syndicated data from receipt to distribution of end-product for Neuroscience CAPLYTA market data. Evaluate new data sources, manage current data inventory, ensure appropriate data usage, and establish metrics to measure data process quality (Data Governance Standards). Manage processes to support acquisition, onboarding, and continued execution of Syndicated and Specialty Pharmacy data assets. Monitor transfer of sub-national data to outside vendors to ensure proper security processes are established and followed. Perform Data Governance Stewardship as liaison between IT and Business Partners to proactively resolve data issues and manage data as an asset. Understand and evaluate impact of data events/changes on analytic systems and coordinate with process owners and data stewards on action plans. Collaborate with technical support, developers, and consultants to prioritize and resolve complex technical issues. Document known solutions in internal and external knowledge bases. Provide insights to improve customer experience for key stakeholders and optimize business decisions for relevant teams. Provide leadership for staff; oversee onshore and offshore personnel and coordinate vendor staffing to ensure optimal resources. Establish or improve procedures to ensure services meet production schedules. Collaborate with Operations, Upstream, Downstream, and Partner Strategy teams to prioritize information needs. Manage release and sprint plans for ongoing delivery of Data Products. Translate business needs into technical requirements and onboard/optimize data sources with the Data Product Technical Manager. Define and support SIT/UAT with clear requirements and quality checks; lead UAT with SMEs to validate readiness and usability. Maintain Marketplace content, user guides, and documentation; ensure alignment with governance and data quality standards. Qualifications/Requirements
BA/BS degree required; master’s degree or equivalent experience asset. Preferably in Business, Technology, Analytics or Health Sciences. 8-10 years of experience; validated experience of 7+ years in data management, analytics, insights, or related pharmaceutical/life sciences analytics roles. Proficient in Pharma syndicated/secondary data from vendors (IQVIA, Symphony Health, Veeva, Definitive Healthcare, AHA, AMA, etc.). Experience with Neuroscience data is a plus; familiarity with MDM tools (Informatica, Reltio) and MDM solution usage preferred. Strong analytical toolkit and proficiency with BI tools; proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Proven project management experience in cross-functional technology projects; strong written and verbal communication skills. Customer-focused with ability to build relationships, identify and resolve issues, and manage projects. Detail-oriented, results-driven, and able to apply policies and standards consistently. Vendor management experience; working knowledge of managing large data sets and data lifecycle concepts. Knowledge of data quality, metadata, and data management; experience with Pharma data sources and vendors (RWE/HEOR, IDN/ACO, EMR/EHR, SPP, retail/non-retail, IMS, SHA, etc.) is preferred.
