The base pay range is

Overview Nutricia North America is seeking a dedicated Medical Nutrition Sales Specialist to promote and sell specialized nutritional products designed for the medical ketogenic diet and Inborn Errors of Metabolism. The role involves building relationships with healthcare professionals, executing strategic sales plans, and managing an assigned territory to drive growth in Metabolic & Ketogenic products.
In this role, you will be responsible for
Drive Metabolic and Ketogenic product sales in your territory based on quotas set forth by the sales management department.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals (neurologists, epileptologists, geneticists, RDs, NPs, RNs).
Educate and inform medical professionals about the Ketogenic diet in the treatment of Epilepsy.
Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for healthcare providers.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Stay up-to-date with research in medical nutrition, Epilepsy treatment, and Inborn Errors of Metabolism.
Target key HCPs and reach consumers through strategic Metabolic & Ketogenic Patient events.
Engage with local partners, state departments of health, pharmacies, and distributors as appropriate.
Territory Management
Build partnerships with key customers and accounts; manage outbound promotion with understanding of access, coverage, and fulfillment.
Collaborate with regional DME/distribution partners to increase sales; coordinate with Market Access and external providers as needed.
Engage in consultative selling to physician groups, dietitians, and nurses; plan in-services and regional meetings to drive brand growth.
Represent Nutricia at industry trade shows when beneficial for the territory.
Develop strategic partnerships with home health care/DMEs to drive growth.
Coordinate and facilitate Metabolic & Ketogenic consumer events.
Business Planning
Develop a strategic territory business plan focusing on access, coverage, and fulfillment.
Regularly review and update the plan; collaborate with cross-functional teams and report status in quarterly reviews.
Provide analytic insight into territory data, issues, and opportunities.
Manage annual budget for territory activities and programs.
Prepare quarterly/bi-annual business reviews with key partners.
Account Management
Identify opportunities requiring a multifunctional team approach; serve as main point of contact for assigned accounts.
Develop sales strategies and partnerships with key customers and centers (Lunch and Learns, P2P events, business reviews, etc.).
Promote products and services to home health care providers and DMEs; ensure alignment with business needs.
Administration
Utilize Nutricia’s sales tools (SalesForce.com, Veeva) to document contacts; monitor sales using Power BI.
Provide Quarterly Business Reviews to management on territory strategies and tactics.
Submit expense reports per T&E policy; manage territory sample budgets and expenses.
Coordinate with National Sales Manager on field ride-alongs; plan field visits in advance to maximize selling efforts within policy guidelines.
Identify and communicate product benefits to healthcare professionals with accurate information.
Attend corporate and regional sales meetings; resolve client problems and escalate as needed.
Plan and execute sales events (consumer events, local/regional trade shows) as needed.
Complete ongoing training and testing for products and methodologies.
Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities The Metabolic and Ketogenic Territory Manager is an independent contributor; there are no supervisory responsibilities.
Working conditions The role is remote with up to 50% domestic overnight travel. Responsibilities include telephone/computer use and field travel to interface with customers; occasional weekend travel for company meetings, trade shows, and patient events. Some lifting of products up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years of sales experience in pharmaceutical, nutrition, or medical equipment (DME/HHC) or 5+ years of clinical healthcare experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and time management skills
Must reside in the assigned territory
Preferred Experience
Experience with neurologists, epileptologists, or keto centers
Established network within neurology and Epilepsy treatment communities
Background in medical nutrition or related field
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Strong business acumen and advanced selling skills
Effective time management and prioritization
Ability to differentiate products with clinical support
Relationship-building with customers and teams
Ability to interpret market research and make sound judgments
Ability to develop strategic business plans and communicate concepts
Efficient in managing a large territory
