Sr. Supply Chain Manager

to oversee and guide our supply chain operations within the Production department. In this critical role, you’ll lead a team of buyers, planners, and external supply partners to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality procurement and planning activities that support our fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, you will play a key role in vendor development, purchasing strategy, integrated business planning, and quality compliance. Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with internal standards and policies. Implement data collection to track performance metrics for suppliers and internal production. Develop and manage purchasing budgets and forecasts to reduce purchase variances and meet profit objectives.

Vendor Development

Identify and source new suppliers and vendors. Manage vendor and supplier selection process based on price, quality, support, capacity, and reliability. Drive cost savings funnel to meet enterprise financial targets. Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors. Develop dashboards and reports to present spend analysis, supplier scorecards, and total cost of ownership (TCO) evaluations.

Planning Processes

Prepare analytical models to ensure smooth planning and operations. Analyze and identify impact of changes to supply chain’s schedule and critical path. Additionally, develop alternative paths and risk mitigation strategies to key stakeholders within the company. Develop & apply appropriate optimization methodologies to balance service level, inventory, and resource utilization. Work with the Planning Department to maintain a rolling production forecast, to be use for forecast labor requirements and production equipment utilization. Develop and implement coordinated Integrated Business Planning process. Coordinate and report monthly IBP Meetings. Lead new product transfers to ensure correct signals generated by MRP-following sequences of ERP, Data Governance, and critical metric (SAP data) and apply Operation Excellence practices.

Quality Processes

Monitor supplier and vendor compliance with contractual agreements. Measure and manage the vendor and supplier cost, quality, and delivery performance. Oversee supplier compliance with internal quality standards and external regulations. Prepare and distribute supplier score cards on an agreed schedule.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced Excel and data analytics skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a meticulous mindset Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and product lifecycle considerations in regulated environments Experience in purchasing and procurement. Knowledge of purchasing and supply chain systems, LEAN principles of planning and MRP/ERP systems. Experience leading recurring IBP or SIOP forums. ASCM CPIM/CSCP preferred. EXPERIENCE: 8-10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sector Experience with ERP and procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QAD, Coupa) Understanding of FDA QSR, ISO 13485, and other regulatory requirements impacting procurement EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or a related field Master’s degree or advanced certification (e.g., CPSM, APICS, Six Sigma) is a plus.
