Overview
Logistics Specialist 3 — Santa Ana, CA (Fully Onsite) 12 Months Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistic Analyst to collaborate cross-functionally with the Supply Chain Planner, Logistics Planner, Customer Management, and Transportation Operations teams. In this role, the Logistic Analyst will ensure that all deliveries are effectively translated into a systemic analysis of large volumes of data within the Transportation Management System (TMS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS). This analysis will support the achievement of sales targets and the fulfillment of customer delivery expectations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in data management, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to drive operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
Quickly and proactively evaluate and resolve problems that may arise while trucks and drivers are in transit. Monitor and adjust today’s and tomorrow’s plans throughout the day. Participates and/or leads strategic projects related to freight and transportation, implementing improvements in the process and operation that would either reduce costs or increase logistics efficiency. Monitor/Negotiate transportation costs ensuring low cost with a high service level, contracts/rates for shipment, storage fees, and distribution status of the product. Manage various internal and external systems to accomplish daily/weekly/monthly tasks. Ability to proficiently manage multiple tasks/projects while staying organized in day-to-day activities. Work directly with 3PLs to resolve customer complaints and issues. Establish and measure KPIs by applying statistical methods to positively drive on-time delivery, warehouse inventory management, and product quality. Document data collection to support departments/activities. Make decisions based on cost and service drivers to better serve the organization. Provide ad-hoc support for the sales team, executives, supply chain team, finance team, accounting team, and regulatory team (creating reports and providing requested documents). Required Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of experience in logistics and/or transportation. Load Planning/Order Management experience is a plus. Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems and Warehouse Management Systems. Strong Excel proficiency and skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work well in teams and with remote teammates. Works on problems of limited and routine scope where limited analysis of data requires identification of predetermined solutions. Exercises judgment within defined practices and policies in selection of methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Typically has general knowledge of logistics operations related to employee’s specific area of work, and knowledge of overall logistics operations. Identifies standard problems within the delivery cycle and makes recommendations to provide solutions to achieve customer satisfaction.
