Credit Underwriter , you will join a team of lending experts with experience spanning unsecured cards to secured commercial credit. You will help shape our Working Capital loan product designed for eCommerce companies with a vision to extend to all small businesses. You will work directly with prospective borrowers to assess creditworthiness and structure creative lending solutions to support their growth. You will also partner with sales and product teams to innovate the go-to-market process, underwriting, and portfolio management needs of the rapidly scaling loan program. Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to summarize strengths and risks in loan applications. Lead due diligence calls with new customers when necessary and help build strong relationships with existing customers. Structure, price, and propose loan terms that balance borrowers’ capacity to repay with Mercury’s risk posture. Monitor ongoing repayment risk of existing loans; restructure delinquencies; collect on past due accounts. Partner in refinement of credit policy, processes, and procedures. Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Design to improve the customer experience. Qualifications

2+ years of experience with financial analysis and interpreting financial performance or assessing risk exposure. Understanding and enthusiasm for working directly with founders and executives from early-stage startups and e-commerce companies. Ability and desire to dig into numbers and derive meaningful insights and actions. Attention to detail and an analytical mindset. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus. Compensation

The total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, stock options, and benefits. Salary ranges are competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using reliable compensation data. New hire offers are based on experience, location, and internal pay equity relative to peers. US employees located in New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $119,400 - $134,300 US employees located outside of the NYC/LA/Seattle or the San Francisco Bay Area: $107,500 - $120,900 Canadian employees (any location): CAD 112,800 - 126,900 Equal Employment Opportunity
