Northside Animal Hospital

AAHA-accredited
small animal practice located on Madison’s beautiful north side. Our mission is to deliver compassionate, high-quality veterinary care in a collaborative and supportive environment. Position: Associate Veterinarian You’ll see a wide range of small animal cases—from wellness exams and vaccinations to dental work, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and more. We currently have 3 full-time and 1 part-time DVMs in a 4 exam room space. What You’ll Do Provide compassionate preventative and diagnostic care, including wellness exams, vaccinations, dental cleanings, spays/neuters, and in-house diagnostics Perform soft tissue surgeries with client education and follow-up support Collaborate with team members in internal medicine, allergy/dermatology, nutrition, and palliative/end-of-life care Communicate clearly with pet owners, answering questions and building lasting client relationships What We’re Looking For DVM or VMD degree with valid Wisconsin license (or ability to obtain) New grads welcome—mentorship available—or several years of experience in companion animal practice Strong communication skills and a passion for building pet-owner relationships Preferable interest in canine & feline dental work, routine wellness care, and sick or injured dogs and cats What You’ll Gain Full-time schedule with the rhythm of work-life balance; typical hours Monday-Friday, with rotating half-day Saturdays Competitive compensation and benefits package Health & disability insurance, retirement plan with match, employee pet care discounts, and generous paid time off Fear-Free certified environment, and supportive culture committed to continuing education and growth Why Join Us?
