Overview
Lead Software Engineer (Java/FrontEnd/Spring/AWS) Join JPMorgan Chase as a Lead Software Engineer within the Consumer and Community Banking Operations Technology organization. You will be a key technical contributor in an agile team focused on delivering secure, stable, and scalable technology products across diverse domains to support business goals. Responsibilities
Utilize Java development to create medium- and large-sized web applications, including client interactions, system design, frontend/UI development, integration with Java EE application servers, and web services Develop secure, high-quality production code; review and debug code written by others Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability of software applications and systems Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and applicability within existing systems Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote adoption of new and leading-edge technologies Contribute to a team culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Formal training or certification in software engineering and 5+ years of applied experience Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages Experience with Java EE APIs; proficiency with Maven builds Application deployments using Jenkins, Jira, and JFrog Artifactory Integration/enterprise testing with WireMock, Hoverfly, JMeter, BlazeMeter; production monitoring with Grafana, Splunk, and Dynatrace Implementing microservices using Spring Boot and event-driven architecture with Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS; REST/JSON/XML Web API development Experience with Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security Testing frameworks such as Cucumber, Selenium, JUnit; mocking with Mockito SQL and databases such as Oracle, AWS Aurora, MySQL Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Knowledge of AgenticAI models Familiarity with AI tools like LLMs and GenAI Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services About Us
