Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer in support of the Sentinel program. This opening is in Roy, UT, Huntsville, AL or Colorado Springs, CO, or Bellevue, NE, and will support the Sentinel Program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure. The selected Principal Systems Engineer/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer will join the team supporting activities including use case development, requirements definition/allocation, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification & validation, and requirements traceability. Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts. Work with technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature architecture content for large programs design. Develop and ensure appropriate requirements for the system are properly represented in the model. Develop systems architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture (behavioral, structural, analytical). Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis. Develop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes for model development, tool integration, and team integration. Basic Qualifications
Principal Systems Engineer: BS in STEM with 5+ years related systems engineering experience; 3+ years with a Masters; 1 year with a PhD Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances within a reasonable time 1+ years of experience with requirements management/analysis/allocations or equivalent Graduate Certificate 1+ years of experience with Model-Based Engineering / MBSE practices and tools (e.g., Cameo, Rhapsody, MagicDRAW) or equivalent graduate certificate 1+ years of experience with C2, physical security, cybersecurity, NC3 systems/processes, communications systems, facility design, or military aerospace development Sr. Principal Systems Engineer: BS in STEM with 8+ years related systems engineering experience; 6+ years with a Masters; 4 years with a PhD Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances within a reasonable time 2+ years of experience with requirements management/analysis/allocations 2+ years of experience with MBSE practices and tools (e.g., Cameo, Rhapsody, MagicDRAW) 2+ years of experience with one or more of the following: C2, physical security, cybersecurity, NC3 systems/processes, communications systems, facility design, or military aerospace development Preferred Qualifications
Self-driven, able to tackle challenges, solve problems with minimal oversight and make recommendations for solutions/process improvement Strong written and verbal communication skills Understanding of the Systems Engineering V-Model Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS Experience in SysML or UPDM modeling languages Proficiency with DoDAF, UAF, or other modeling frameworks 3+ years experience modeling with Cameo Enterprise Architecture, MagicDraw (No Magic, Inc.) or other architecture modeling tools Experience documenting Interface Control Documents, Interface Requirement Specifications, and Interface Description Documents Experience with software defined hardware structures (e.g., software defined radars, FPGA) Experience with modeling and simulation programs (e.g., AFSim) Experience applying cross-domain security concepts and multi-level security systems Experience with scripting and coding languages such as Python Experience with Agile Development Experience with ICBM weapon system sustainment engineering and integration Benefits

Salaries are general guidelines and may reflect the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
