Global Public Policy Department

The mission of Vantage Data Centers’ Global Public Policy team is to help deliver the best digital infrastructure for leading technology companies. We advocate for positions, advise on issues, and build relationships with stakeholders to create a favorable and resilient public policy environment, ensuring success across the asset lifecycle, mitigating risks, and fostering sustainable growth. Our team handles government relations, economic development, and community engagement, partnering with various departments to grow market share, navigate regulatory developments, and expand into new geographies. This role can be based in Denver, CO, Dallas, TX, Madison, WI, or Ashburn, VA. The Director, Public Policy – State and Local, North America, will lead the state and local public policy team across the U.S. Responsibilities include driving public policy strategy, managing relationships with policymakers, overseeing lobbying efforts, and serving as the company’s senior representative to state and local governments. The candidate should have extensive experience managing public policy programs, be a strategic thinker, and an effective people manager. Essential Job Functions

Lead the company’s state and local public policy programs across U.S. markets. Manage and mentor Senior Managers responsible for policy execution. Oversee a network of lobbyists and public affairs firms. Build relationships with government officials and agencies. Track legislation and policy trends affecting operations. Shape and promote the company’s positions on key issues. Align public policy strategies with business goals. Support political engagement strategies, including political contributions. Duties

Set objectives for the public policy team and ensure impactful engagement. Support development of workplans and advocacy materials. Draft communications to officials, including testimony and policy briefs. Participate in coalitions and issue alliances. Identify and mitigate policy risks. Represent the company at policy forums and meetings. Provide strategic counsel to senior management. Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of ten years in public policy, government affairs, or related field. Experience managing multi-state government relations, preferably in regulated industries. Proven leadership in managing teams and contractors across jurisdictions. Excellent communication skills. Willingness to travel up to 50%. Physical Demands and Requirements

Must occasionally stand, walk, sit, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform other physical activities as needed. Additional Details

Salary Range: $190,000 - $200,000 + bonus. Benefits include health coverage, 401k, paid leave, and more. Application deadline: at least one week from posting date.
