Role Overview The Engineer II, Tank Integrity is an intermediate-level engineer role supporting Buckeye’s Tank Integrity program, with program management responsibilities within the Oil & Gas industry. Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Tank Integrity Program Support: assist with implementation and continuous improvement of Buckeye’s Tank Integrity Programs, including evaluating new technologies, reviewing inspection results with project managers to determine repair scope, researching KPI backgrounds, coordinating tank failure and metallurgical analyses, ensuring regulatory compliance, and participating in regulatory audits. Utilize tools such as API-Risk Based Inspection to determine inspection scope and strategies. Data Integration & Management: facilitate Tank Integrity data integration within Buckeye’s GIS database, Corrosion Control database, or other applications. Risk Management & Mitigation: perform risk analyses and develop risk prevention/mitigation strategies. Stakeholder Engagement: identify and involve stakeholders for key decisions and prepare Management of Change (MOC) work orders as required. Project/Program Management: develop budgets and monitor maintenance forecasts and expenditures related to Tank Integrity Programs. Department Support: provide support for Asset Integrity Team members. Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, or chemical engineering or related field. Experience: typically 3–6+ years of relevant experience. Special skills: proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; customer-focused attitude and ability to function as a team player. Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory codes related to tank integrity management. Travel Requirements: up to 10% travel. Certificates & Licenses
Engineer-in-Training or Professional Engineer certification is highly desirable. API-653 or API-510 certification, or equivalent experience, is highly desirable. Other Skills, Attributes And Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication and strong organizational skills. Strong analytical ability to resolve business and operations problems and provide technical assistance. Ability to maintain accurate records and provide status updates. Essential Functions
Ability to safely perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance as per standards. Compliance with personnel policies. Physical & Safety Requirements
Occasional movement within an office; continuous use of computer and office equipment. May require climbing tank stairways and entering tanks via manways. About You
