Prevailance is seeking an experienced and mission-focused professional to serve as a
Mid-Level Advanced Tactical Training - Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD)
for the Commander, Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC). In this role, you will provide tactical and operational expertise to enhance the readiness and effectiveness of the Surface Force across multiple warfare domains. Occasional travel may be required.

Support Locations This role provides support across various SMWDC sites, including:
SMWDC Headquarters, San Diego, CA
Mine Warfare (MIW) Division, San Diego, CA
Sea Combat (SC) Division, San Diego, CA
Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) Division, Dahlgren, VA
Amphibious Warfare (AMW) Division, Little Creek, VA
Responsibilities Include
Operate and oversee the Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS) across multiple platforms, ensuring readiness and effectiveness in combat operations.
Lead tactical operations and decision-making as a Tactical Action Officer (TAO) or Combat Direction Center (CDC) Watch Officer, with full authority to employ SSDS systems during missions and training exercises.
Assist in IAMD operations, preferring candidates qualified as a Weapon Tactics Instructor (WTI) in IAMD or with an Aviation Officer qualification.
Conduct assessments of war-fighting readiness, capabilities, and capacity, using data analysis to support performance evaluations.
Create reports, presentations, and data sets to support operational and readiness evaluations, utilizing Microsoft Office tools.
Requirements Experience:
Must possess a Tactical Action Officer Qualification letter.
Minimum of 10 years of experience with surface navy’s combat systems, C5I, networks, and weapon systems.
Experience with Strike Group, Fleet, or Major Training Commands.
Qualified in a watch station with authority to employ the Aegis Weapon System (e.g., AAWC, Battle Watch Captain).
Skills:
Strong experience with qualitative and quantitative assessment methods for war-fighting readiness.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word.
Preferred Attributes
Experience as a WTI - IAMD.
Aviation Officer Qualification.
Strong analytical skills for tactical training and operational strategies.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Security Clearance
Current SECRET Security Clearance.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in deploying and operating SSDS systems, including leadership roles on naval platforms. Responsibilities include overseeing system operations, evaluating war-fighting readiness, and using assessments to ensure operational success.
