Overview
Staff Accountant - RDG at RIVIERA DINING GROUP (RDG). The role supports and assists the Senior Accountant in all daily duties for the Finance / Accounting Department to ensure the Food and Beverage operation runs efficiently and meets operating budget expectations. RDG introduces its first restaurant-concept brand, MILA, in Miami Beach, and has expanded to multiple concepts including AVA MediterrAegean, CASA NEOS, Claudie, and MM. RDG aims to be a leader in the luxury restaurant industry with ongoing expansion plans. Responsibilities
Works with Direct Supervisor on financial tasks Maintain the general ledger and all accounting activities Process reconciliations (bank accounts, credit card accounts, deposits) in a timely manner Collaborate with AP Specialists on assigned locations and tasks Manage payroll journal entries and reconciliations DSR reconciliations (Sales, Cash, Tips, service charge) Monitor and investigate walk-out and bad debt accounts; provide monthly summaries to upper management Monitor site cash and petty cash banks Assist with financial-related audits Perform month-end procedures and reconcile outstanding balances and GL accounts Respond to guest inquiries, disputes, and chargeback requests in a timely manner Research and resolve chargebacks with operation teams Prepare and distribute daily in-house reports such as bank reconciliations Research inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and complete requested information timely Meet month-end deadlines and schedules Assist with monthly journal entries and closing duties; investigate discrepancies Ensure reconciliation of third-party billing and resolve discrepancies Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as required Assist with duties as assigned by supervisors Experience with multiple properties and a fast-paced environment Knowledge of Toast and/or R365 preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in accounting, is required Strong analytical skills with financial and numeric data Proficiency in Excel Willingness to work hours necessary to meet deadlines Physical Demands And Work Environment
