Position Summary Based in Los Angeles, CA, or Dallas, TX, the Regional Controller - ADE West will serve as the primary financial business partner for operations. This role will provide financial advice, review monthly financial and operational performance, prepare capital project requests, lead the forecast and budget processes, drive process improvement, and deliver ad hoc financial analyses as needed. The position reports to the Sr. Vice President, Finance ADE. Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities) The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to, the following: Lead the quarterly forecasting and annual planning cycles for the Division. Responsible for analysis and review of Divisional topics across all Regions, such as fixed assets, capital requests, account receivables, surcharges, and other central topics. Prepares the compilation, reporting, and analysis of KPIs, actual results, forecasts, and business plans, and recommends ways to identify areas of risk, improve analysis, or simplify processes. Partner with the Vice Presidents of Operations and General Managers to support sound strategic and tactical decision-making at the plant, regional, and division levels. Provide accounting & analytical support for Office Managers, General Managers, and Vice Presidents. Create process maps and guidelines for the Division. Utilized a focus on lean process approach to improve speed, accuracy, and quality of activities and tasks performed by the controlling team. Lead best practice sharing activity and collaboration among locations, regions, finance, and accounting. Drive a process-focused culture, ensuring robust internal financial controls are maintained, constantly monitored, and adequately addressed. Direct, engage in, and support regional as well as divisional projects. Qualifications This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; therefore, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident cardholders. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent; CPA preferred. Minimum of 7 years’ progressive experience in finance and accounting functions in a multi-national company, preferably with multi-site responsibility. Strong personal initiative to ensure success in the role by seeking out potential problems and creative solutions. Ability to translate financial results to operational performance, and vice versa. Hands-on approach, with an eagerness to be in the plants to learn, understand, and coach/mentor office managers and general managers as needed to achieve established performance metrics. Proficiency in Hyperion, SAP, or other ERP software is a plus, but not required. Hands-on Experience using Power BI or other data visualization platforms. This position is responsible for the financial function of the business and, as such, will perform duties in a fiscally responsible manner while dealing with sensitive and confidential information. May have access to compensation information of other employees or applicants in this role, and as such cannot disclose the pay of other employees or applicants to other individuals. Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language. Physical & Mental Demands Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time in an industrial environment. Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc. Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc. Ability to hear in person and via phone.
