Steppenwolf Theatre Company is celebrating its 50th Anniversary Season. The company has been a cultural leader in Chicago and a model for theatre companies in the United States and around the world. Steppenwolf is seeking a Donor Engagement and Events Coordinator to support the Development team’s efforts to raise $7+ million annually. The Donor Engagement and Event Coordinator will work closely with the Donor Engagement Director on all aspects of events, including the Gala, opening nights, and other stewardship, cultivation, and fundraising events. This position will act as the internal liaison for all Development department events, working closely across departments to ensure successful execution of all events. Areas of Responsibility

Assist the Donor Engagement Director in all planning aspects to make the theater’s annual Gala Benefit a success. Coordinate the prospect lists, mailings, tracking event sales, and event attendee stewardship activities. Coordinate the development and design of event solicitation materials, invitations, event collateral, and other printed materials with outside vendors and internal design teams. Track the fulfillment of benefits for sponsors and event attendees. Process the event sales, including pledges, gifts, acknowledgment letters, pledge reminders, and donor listings. Manage event attendee reservations, ticket mailings, and onsite registration. Research key event attendees and prepare background information for theater and event leadership in collaboration with other team members. Coordinate event timelines and work with the Donor Engagement Director to execute the event logistics according to the event budget and deadlines. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of donor database systems, preferably Tessitura, and Microsoft Office. Proven organizational skills, great attention to detail, and excellent written and oral communications skills are also required. 1-2 years of work experience is required, with 3-4 years preferred. Salary range: $46,635 - $51,002 with an excellent benefit package for full-time employees. How to Apply
