The SUDP(T) Clinician will function as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering recovery-oriented, person-centered care at Recovery Place Seattle/Kent Inpatient Services. The clinician will provide SUD treatment services to inpatient residents using harm-reduction and evidence-based practices in accordance with ASAM criteria and Valley Cities policies. Responsibilities include SUD assessments, individual and group treatment, education groups, crisis services, relapse prevention, and treatment and case management services to patients with substance use disorder diagnoses. The SUDP(T) will support a strong recovery environment and integrated care to meet individual needs, while ensuring quality clinical services in collaboration with program managers. Key Responsibilities

Work with managers to implement evidence-based SUD practices, including patient-centered care, harm reduction, and abstinence-based practices. Conduct assessments, referrals, urinalysis, groups, and individual treatment. Facilitate treatment groups, relapse prevention groups, and harm-reduction groups in accordance with WACs and RCWs. Provide education and empower clients to meet SUD treatment goals, including individuals with co-occurring mental health conditions. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary care team members (mental health and medical providers) to address patient issues throughout the workday. Coordinate with clinical and residential staff to identify and support residents’ goals; provide feedback on policy adherence and progress. Mediate and/or de-escalate resident conflicts as needed; assist with safety planning. If employed at the Inpatient program, assist with de-escalation and restraint of clients in the event of assaultive behavior; maintain current CPI certification. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

Education Current certification by the State of Washington Department of Health as a Substance Abuse Disorder Professional or Trainee. On-Call employees must provide 3 days of availability per month, including one weekend day. On-call availability for one major holiday and one minor holiday per calendar year. Experience Understanding of addiction, withdrawal, and treatment resources for recovery. Ability to pass required background checks and work independently or as part of a team. Willingness to work evenings. If in recovery from alcohol/substance use disorder, must have been clean and sober for at least two years and be actively engaged in a verifiable recovery program.
