Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP)

– Chief Seattle Club in collaboration with Evergreen Treatment Services (ETS). Location: Pioneer Square, Seattle, WA Position type: Non-exempt, full-time Hours: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts (Saturday clinic hours 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM). Schedule changes negotiated with the employee's supervisor. Salary:

$29/hour to $35/hour DOE

( $60,320 to $72,800 annually ) plus

The TIM SUDP CSC role is part of the Counseling and Behavioral Health team and supports ETS’s mission through assessment, individual and group counseling, case management, community-based outreach and engagement, and overall patient care for TIM participants. This role serves as the primary care team coordinator for assigned patients, connecting individuals to Evergreen Services Mobile Dispensary (TIM) and other community and clinic-based services via outreach and engagement. Embedded within Chief Seattle Club. Carries out responsibilities that demonstrate commitment to Indigenous and organizational values: providing a sacred space to nurture, affirm, and renew the spirit of urban Native people, while maintaining cultural integrity. What you contribute to this role – Responsibilities Help ETS succeed in advancing our mission by collaborating with staff to transform systems of harm and inequity and improve community health and safety in addressing substance use and homelessness. Assist with the organization-wide initiative to reimagine interconnectedness within the community to overcome aspects of society and organizational culture shaped by white supremacy and settler colonialism. Consistently implement established agency policies and treatment procedures for work with assigned patients. Conduct community-based outreach and engagement activities to connect individuals with TIM and other services. Work closely with Reach and other outreach services team members to support MOUD services. Develop and maintain relationships with community service providers to facilitate referrals to TIM. Provide community-based SUD services for individuals seeking and participating in MOUD services. Provide initial intake, assessment, individual and group counseling, and case management services to assigned patients. Maintain professional boundaries with patients and coworkers. Prepare and submit timely documentation including initial intake, ASAM assessment, ISP, ISP reviews, responses to positive drug test results, coordination of care teams, letters of assistance and referrals, and discharge summaries. Protect the confidentiality of patients and comply with confidentiality requirements outlined in federal regulations (42 CFR Part 2). Serve as a leader or co-leader of therapy or educational groups and perform other treatment activities as assigned. Meet with the primary supervisor for clinical consultation and skills development; coordinate with other departments to support comprehensive patient care. Coordinate assigned patient treatment with dispensary, medical, case management, peer, and psychiatric staff; participate in care team meetings. Meet with Chief Seattle Club Behavioral Health for briefing relatives twice a month. Take responsibility for observation of patient drug test sample collection when needed; travel regularly to support community MOUD services; provide clinic-based counseling as needed. SUD assessment, counseling, and case management skills; community outreach. Note: Additional duties may be assigned at any time. Qualifications

Credential: Department of Health license for Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) is required. Education and/or Lived Experience: Academic training in the social service field and in substance use disorder treatment; lived experience with the patient population is highly desired. Work experience related to substance use disorders, social work, or outreach programs. Experience providing services from a harm-reduction perspective is highly desirable. Knowledge and Skills

Understanding of racial justice and social equity; commitment to creating an equitable environment for ETS clients and staff. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients and staff from diverse backgrounds. Experience providing community-based MOUD services preferred. Creativity in developing MOUD treatment approaches. Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills; ability to work independently and prioritize duties. Dependable, adaptable, detail-oriented, and a cooperative problem solver. Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information. Ability to set boundaries, resolve conflicts, and de-escalate issues. Computer literacy with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; willingness to stay current with technology; basic email, calendaring, chat, videoconferencing, and internet search skills. Special Skills and Knowledge (Chief Seattle Club)

Strong computer skills with experience in multiple Electronic Health Records. Excellent communication and ability to handle complaints calmly. Experience working with homeless or low-income populations. Understanding of historical and intergenerational trauma among Indigenous communities. Strong crisis intervention skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks under stress. Excellent customer service skills; familiarity with basic computer and mobile hardware/software.
