Business Development Manager at

in Seattle, WA. We are expanding our markets in Multifamily, Industrial and Healthcare in addition to Tenant Improvement and General Commercial Construction. Our focus is on developing long-term relationships with clients, as over two-thirds of our work is repeat business. This is a deal-making role that requires a strong understanding of the consultative sales process and demonstrated experience, construction knowledge and good decision-making skills in Multifamily, Industrial and Healthcare sectors. Our business development staff is engaged with the client during all stages of project development, construction and close out. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, but also enjoy working as part of a cohesive sales and marketing team. This person will work with executive leadership and five West coast offices to develop and implement our sales strategy with new and existing clients. Base pay range
$120,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Present and sell company services to current and potential clients. Prepare action plans to identify specific target accounts and the contacts within them. Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential clients. Follow up on new leads and referrals. Coordinate and prepare presentations and proposals with our Marketing, Estimating and Operations team to close the sale. Regular interactions with Operations and Estimating teams to qualify projects and potential clients. Follow up with clients during the construction process to ensure our project services are being delivered as promised. Identify and resolve client concerns. Provide feedback to management on field activity and project progress from the client’s perspective. Active involvement in our customer relationship management environment. We use Microsoft Dynamics to track, share and synchronize our Business Development activity across all our offices. Requirements
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Business Development in the Construction industry. Demonstrated experience in Multifamily Business Development for project size ranging from $20 to $100 million. Demonstrated experience in Industrial and Medical market sectors. Bachelor’s Degree (Architectural, Engineering, Construction Management and/or Business preferred). Excellent decision-making and communication skills. Construction knowledge/experience and a strong Northwest network. The ability to listen, understand and resolve issues with constructive solutions is essential. Deacon Construction LLC
