We are hiring for a Manager, Tax to join our Corporate Finance Team. The Manager, Tax will gain broad knowledge of corporate tax due to the dynamic environment of the company and the tax department size. This position provides the opportunity to stay current in the tax and accounting field from frequent interaction with Big 4 firms and other outside consultants. Collaboration Opportunities: This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with multiple teams across the organization, including legal, accounting, FP&A, corporate development, payroll, treasury, operations, and IT, as well as consultants and auditors outside the organization. This position will report to the Managing Director of Tax and supervise a Senior Tax Accountant. What You Will Be Doing: Manage quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision for all US and international subsidiaries, including liaising with external auditors Coordinate and support the federal, state, local and international income tax preparation process with external consultants Prepare federal, state, and local extension and estimated tax calculations Manage the indirect tax function, including sales and use, gross receipts, property, franchise, and other business taxes Review/prepare reconciliation of general ledger tax accounts Develop, research, and document tax issues and positions taken Manage income tax audits Maintain intercompany and transfer pricing arrangements among the domestic and foreign entities Oversee the tax receivable agreement (TRA) models and related payments Monitor relevant developments in tax policy and legislation and the impact on the Company Participate in the SOX 404 compliance effort with respect to tax processes Support systems development and improved analytics Train and develop a tax associate in the US and interact with tax team in India Other duties as assigned to support the success of the accounting department and company Qualifications - Required: BA/BS in Accounting/Finance CPA certification is not required, however preferred. 4+ years of experience in public accounting and/or a high-growth public company Deep expertise and technical aptitude related to tax accounting principles (ASC 740), business combinations, SOX, and federal and state income tax concepts Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and evolving work environment Strong project management skills: ability to effectively lead implementation of key tax initiatives Must be able to be hands on, detail-oriented, while being able to see the big picture The person in this role must reside in the DC, Maryland or Virginia Area.
