Applications are invited for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Managerial Economics and Decision Sciences (MEDS) Department at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. The MEDS Department includes faculty in pure and applied microeconomic theory and political economy. We invite applicants in economics and political science, or related fields. Primary criteria include excellent recommendations, outstanding research potential, and strong teaching capabilities. A Ph.D. in hand or expected by the employment start date is required. Successful applicants will conduct innovative research, participate in the school’s Ph.D. program, and teach required and elective MBA courses. Applicants should have strong theoretical and quantitative interests. Responsibilities
Conduct innovative research in economics or political economy and contribute to the MEDS research agenda. Teach required and elective MBA courses and participate in the school’s Ph.D. program. Advise and mentor students and contribute to departmental service as appropriate. Qualifications
Ph.D. in hand or expected by start date in economics, political science, or related fields. Strong theoretical and quantitative abilities. Evidence of excellent teaching and high research potential. Compensation and Benefits
The expected base pay range is $206,000–$221,000 for a nine-month academic appointment (does not include summer salary) and is subject to negotiation. Research discretionary funding will be provided; summer salary may be available from sponsored projects.
