The Department of Social Work at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool. This pool is for temporary teaching assignments as needed. Appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice. Areas to Teach

A Master’s Degree in Social Work or Social Welfare from an CSWE-accredited program For social work practice classes, at least 2 years of post-master’s practice experience University-level teaching experience Ability to communicate effectively and work with culturally and ethnically diverse populations in community-based venues Preferred Qualifications
Social work practice experience with clients of diverse socio-cultural backgrounds in multiple settings For social work practice classes, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of California How To Apply

The need for part-time faculty is greatest in Fall and Spring semesters. The Fall term begins in late August and ends in mid-December; the Spring term runs from mid-January through the end of May. On rare occasions, part-time faculty are needed during one of the Summer Session segments. Performance Evaluation
Regular performance evaluations of part-time lecturers are conducted in accord with the faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement and University Policy Statement 210.070. Evaluations determine continued teaching assignments and may include syllabus, assignments, and reading material reviews by the departmental personnel committee. Appointment and Salary
Part-time faculty appointments are made as Lecturers under the CSU system Collective Bargaining Agreement with the California Faculty Association. Initial appointments are for one semester. Salary ranges: Classification Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per month; anticipated hiring range up to $6,221 per month depending on qualifications.
