Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, us, 33336
Vice President of Philanthropy (Boca Raton & Broward County) | Out-based Role | Hiring up to $99,000
Making sure you fit the guidelines as an applicant for this role is essential, please read the below carefully. At Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida, we don't just talk about changing the world - we do it, one Girl Scout troop at a time. We are seeking a bold, relationship-driven
Vice President of Philanthropy (Vice President of Development & Philanthropy)
to ignite philanthropy and expand our impact in Broward County. This isn't a behind-the-desk fundraising role. It's a chance to be the face of Girl Scouts in the community, cultivating donors, forging corporate partnerships, and championing the resources that empower girls to lead with courage, confidence, and character. As our
Vice President of Philanthropy , you will be responsible for cultivating new donors, identifying corporate partners, and creating meaningful community relationships that fuel the Girl Scout mission, with a special but not exclusive focus in Boca Raton & Broward County. You will manage an annual portfolio of at least 100 prospects and donors, developing corporate sponsorships, and driving philanthropic partnerships that directly support programs and events for girls. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, you will also collaborate closely with the Director of Advancement to ensure appropriate stewardship and to meet or exceed our goals. You will actively cultivate and secure gifts from individual donors in the $5,000–$20,000 range, and you will lead efforts to expand our sponsorship base to strengthen our impact across Broward County. Through presentations, events, and face-to-face meetings, you'll bring the Girl Scout mission to life for donors and partners, positioning us as the nonprofit of choice for investment. In addition to driving annual giving and corporate partnerships, the Vice President of Philanthropy will play a pivotal role in advancing our capital priorities, including the restoration and reimagining of Camp Telogia in Parkland. This beloved Girl Scout property is at the heart of our vision to expand outdoor leadership opportunities for girls, and significant philanthropic investment will be needed to bring that vision to life. You will help inspire donors to see themselves as part of a lasting legacy-one that not only transforms a camp, but also creates a powerful space where future generations of Girl Scouts will grow, lead, and thrive. The
Vice President of Philanthropy
will also provide the behind-the-scenes leadership needed to ensure fundraising success. You'll research funding opportunities, track donor engagement in our database, and produce timely reports on progress toward financial goals. You'll collaborate on the creation of sponsorship decks, help develop fundraising strategies, and ensure all work is done with the highest ethical and professional standards. To excel in this role, you should bring at least five years of relevant fundraising or development experience, a bachelor's degree in a related field, and a proven ability to cultivate and grow donor relationships. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as proficiency with donor management systems like Donor Perfect. A CFRE credential is strongly preferred, and bilingual fluency in Spanish or French is a plus. Most importantly, the
Vice President of Philanthropy
must bring passion, energy, and a commitment to helping girls thrive. This is a full-time, exempt Vice President of Philanthropy position based in Broward County. Flexibility is key, as evenings and weekends are required for some donor meetings and community events. Reliable transportation and a valid Florida driver's license are also necessary. We provide more than just a job - we offer an exceptional workplace culture and benefits package. Our team enjoys generous vacation time, a paid summer shutdown and winter break, heavily subsidized medical and dental coverage, employer-paid life and disability insurance, Teladoc access, and a 401k plan with immediate employer match. Professional development is a priority, and we foster a collaborative, inclusive environment where recognition and well-being are central. If you are ready to make an impact that lasts for generations, apply today to become our
