About the Project/Clinic: AMI will be assisting in providing medical staff to the Rosebud Comprehensive Health Care Facility in Rosebud, South Dakota to help deliver compassionate and quality healthcare to patients in the area.

Job Summary: The Medical Support Associate (MSA) provides direct support to patients and clinical staff in a fastpaced hospital and clinic environment. MSAs play a vital role in patient care by assisting with intake, supporting clinical documentation, ensuring exam areas are prepared, and maintaining patient flow throughout the facility.

Duties/Responsibilities: • Welcome and assist patients during intake and triage, including obtaining vital signs and medical history. • Support providers with accurate documentation and electronic medical record (EMR) data entry. • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam/treatment rooms; sterilize equipment as needed. • Monitor patients and promptly communicate status changes to the clinical team. • Assist with patient coordination, movement, and transfers within the facility. • Respond to patient requests and calls in a timely, compassionate, and professional manner. • Follow infection control policies, safety protocols, and facility procedures at all times. The job duties are flexible and subject to change depending upon operational needs.

Required Skills/Abilities: • Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and communication skills. • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work on a team. • Excellent communication and time management skills. • Must be able to successfully complete the AMI Credentialing Process. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications

Education & Experience: • High school diploma or GED • Active BLS certification • Preferred: Completion of a Medical Assistant or healthcare support training program. • Preferred: Medical Assistant Certification. • Prior experience in a hospital, clinic, or urgent care setting is advantageous.

Must work as a team member to improve safety culture and quality. • Read and follow instructions. Demonstrate safe work behavior. • Must be able to lift 50 pounds. • Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time. • Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently.
