Develop and implement overall commodity strategy for assigned commodities of Large Generators while demonstrating the alliances with Large Steam Turbine and Large Gas Turbine (incl. Service). De-risk supplier dependencies, ensure capacities, reduce lead times, reduce cost of supply base and support business growth.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Managing and defining the sourcing strategy in the respective area of responsibility with cross-functional counterparts and support from Global Commodity Management, and in alignment with business.
Leading the Commodity Circle in the respective area of responsibility with the support of cross-functional team members.
Creating and implementing business-specific initiatives and measures based on respective commodity strategy in alignment with SE Ecosystem strategy and business objectives as demonstrating the commonalities between Large Generators and the product segments Large Steam Turbine and Large Gas Turbine (incl. service), supply chain resilience, product cost reduction, supporting the business growth and India sourcing.
Managing the relationship with assigned strategic suppliers, sometimes even beyond the boundaries of the respective area of responsibility. Identifying risks & opportunities and implement respective measures.
Completing periodic strategic procurement activities: negotiations planning, commodity strategy updates, awarding strategy and sourcing board approvals, quarterly review meetings, etc.
Prepares and individually negotiates framework agreement, price agreements or individual contracts with the suppliers according to the business requirements.
What You Bring (requirements)
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field.
A minimum of 8+ years’ of collective experience working in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sourcing, Engineering or similar function in machinery industries.
Strong strategic and analytical abilities to quickly grasp challenges and opportunities while formulating overarching solutions.
An innovative mentality and a strong motivation to drive positive change as well as excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills.
Familiar with SAP, advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Cost & risk management skills: Mature understanding of multiple aspects of supply chain value stream. Supplier financial risk evaluation & management. Supply Chain Risk evaluation & management.
Commercial knowledge, contract law and T&C.
Experience managing Long Term Contracts and negotiating complex terms and conditions.
Must be able to travel 10-15% both domestically and internationally.
Strong interpersonal and time management skills
Proficiency in English, proficiency in German or Chinese is a plus!

Knowledge of Power Generation Industry
Data Analysis/Science skills
