Foodservice Corporate Sales Director

is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving national sales growth through direct engagement with top-tier foodservice distributors, including

Sysco ,

US Foods , and

Gordon Food Service . This position serves as the primary corporate liaison, representing the company in headquarter-level negotiations, joint business planning, and strategic initiatives aimed at expanding market share and strengthening distributor relationships. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute corporate sales strategies targeting major foodservice distributors. Conduct headquarters calls to influence distributor decision-makers and align on growth initiatives. Develop and manage annual business plans, promotional calendars, and performance reviews with distributor partners. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, finance, and supply chain to ensure alignment on execution and service levels. Monitor distributor performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and distributor conferences. Education And Qualifications Proven experience in foodservice sales, preferably with direct engagement at the corporate level with Sysco, US Foods, or Gordon Food Service. Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Strategic thinker with a track record of delivering sales growth and managing complex accounts. Ability to travel as needed to distributor headquarters and key market locations. Culinary Experience preferred but not required. BA Degree preferred but not required. Proficiency in Excel, Word, Microsoft Office Skills Strategic Account Management Expertise in managing and growing national distributor accounts. Ability to develop joint business plans and long-term growth strategies. Negotiation & Influence Skilled in high-stakes negotiations with corporate buyers and senior stakeholders. Capable of influencing distributor priorities to align with company objectives. Foodservice Industry Knowledge Deep understanding of foodservice distribution models, pricing structures, and operator dynamics. Familiarity with the operational models of Sysco, US Foods, and GFS. Analytical & Financial Acumen Proficient in analyzing sales data, forecasting, and managing trade spend. Strong grasp of P&L management and ROI-driven decision-making. Communication & Presentation Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable presenting to executive leadership and distributor HQ teams. Customer-Centric Mindset Focused on building trust-based relationships with distributor partners. Committed to delivering value-added solutions and service excellence. Adaptability & Problem Solving Agile in responding to market shifts, distributor needs, and internal challenges. Proactive in identifying and resolving issues before they escalate. Seniority level
