Vice President, Foodservice Sales – Frozen, Bacon, and Snacking
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President, Foodservice Sales to lead our national foodservice growth across key product categories, including frozen prepared foods, bacon, and snacking products. This senior leadership role will focus on developing and executing sales strategies to expand our footprint in the foodservice distribution and operator channels—targeting both broadline and specialty distributors, as well as national chain and independent operators.
The ideal candidate brings deep industry experience, a strong network in the foodservice space, and a passion for delivering high-quality products to customers. This is a high-impact role with direct responsibility for revenue growth, team leadership, and channel strategy.
Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute a comprehensive foodservice sales strategy for frozen, bacon, and snacking categories, aligned with overall company objectives.
Drive business growth through direct operator engagement, distribution partnerships, and national/regional chain account development.
Collaborate with innovation, R&D, and commercialization teams to bring new items to market, often in collaboration directly with customers.
Establish and track KPIs, sales forecasts, and revenue targets across product lines.
Deliver against the agreed upon results.
Team Leadership
Lead and scale a high-performing sales team, including category sales directors, national account managers, and broker partners.
Provide coaching, performance management, and career development opportunities to build a best-in-class sales organization.
Foster a results-oriented, collaborative, and customer-centric culture.
Account & Channel Management
Manage and grow relationships with broadline distributors, specialty distributors, and multi-unit operators.
Lead contract negotiations and pricing strategies with key accounts and GPOs.
Identify and cultivate high-potential national and regional foodservice accounts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with R&D and innovation teams to inform product development based on operator and market feedback.
Collaborate with supply chain and operations to ensure reliable product availability, deadlines are met, and service levels are achieved.
Market Intelligence & Insights
Monitor competitive activity, pricing trends, and category growth opportunities across frozen, bacon, and snack segments.
Gather voice-of-customer feedback to guide product improvements and inform channel strategy.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to build visibility and brand presence.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
10+ years of progressive foodservice sales leadership experience, with a strong focus in frozen, bacon, or snacking categories.
Deep understanding of foodservice distribution networks, operator buying behavior, the foodservice industry landscape, and menu development trends.
Proven ability to lead national account strategy and close large, complex deals.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
Preferred Experience
Experience working in both branded and private label product environments.
Familiarity with USDA-regulated products (especially in bacon and protein-based SKUs).
Track record of launching new SKUs into foodservice with measurable success.
