Mohawk Industries is a Fortune 500, global flooring leader with brands across residential and commercial spaces. This role is the principal selling agent within the assigned territory to achieve short- and long-term objectives in the company's Business Plan. Responsibilities include discovering new customers and expanding existing markets within the territory.
What You’ll Do
Perform sales calls: travel to customer facilities, provide information and support, make sales presentations, quote prices, take orders, close transactions, and address customer questions using persuasive sales techniques.
Monitor territory performance against objectives and take action to improve results.
Provide customer service to resolve issues, communicate requirements to other departments, and relay product feedback to product line managers as appropriate.
Assist in establishing territory sales objectives with leadership and ensure compliance with policies and professional standards.
Stay informed of industry, product, and territorial changes; provide timely field activity reports to assist business planning.
Develop territory coverage plans and forecast sales by customer and product; identify training or material needs to achieve goals.
Manage expenses according to corporate guidelines and ensure proper use of company-owned equipment and materials.
Perform other duties as required.
What You Have
High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
1-3 years of progressively responsible work experience or equivalent combination of education and training.
Ability to learn in-depth knowledge of Mohawk’s business and product lines.
What You’re Good At
Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work with diverse groups, achieve results through teamwork, and persuade/new ideas.
Ability to analyze data to develop solutions; proficiency with order tracking and MohawkNet system.
Willingness and ability to travel.
What Else?
75%–100% domestic travel; may lift and move up to 50 lbs without lifting aids.
Vision requirements aligned with driving responsibilities; physical activity including standing, reaching, climbing, and use of major limbs.
Pay Base pay range: $80,000–$90,000 per year, determined individually. Compensation may include commission, incentives, bonuses, and other benefits.
