This Grants Analyst promotes the mission, vision, values, and strategic plan of Easterseals and helps to achieve the strategic goals and objectives of the unit. The Grants Analyst is responsible for the financial management related to the grants and contracts that fund his/her assigned cost centers. Major Functions/Accountabilities: Prepare and reconcile required financial reports for all assigned grants by the required due dates. Assist the Revenue Cycle Specialist with submitting expenditure vouchers to funders as needed. Records all submitted vouchers and invoices in the accounts receivable subledger immediately following submission. Analyze grant expenses monthly, preparing and posting reclassifications as needed. Prepare and record accurate monthly revenue accruals by the agreed-upon dates. Reconcile all revenue and receivable accounts monthly for assigned cost centers. Prepare and maintain copies of all budgets, reports, vouchers, reconciliations, etc., in an accessible and organized fashion. Monitor and review open accounts receivable to identify adjustments, refunds, and write-offs. Provide monthly reporting of budget to actual expenditures and remaining funds for all grants to program managers monthly. Prepare and submit reports and performance metrics to the Director of Grants Management and Financial Analysis regularly. Prepare budgets for new and existing programs and grant proposals as needed. Conduct ongoing contract and fiscal compliance audits for assigned cost centers. Develop and maintain tracking systems to monitor performance outcomes to ensure optimal performance and compliance with funding standards, regulations, and guidelines. Manage the financial aspects of program audits as needed. Communicate with funders and program management to resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. Represent Easterseals in a positive and professional manner to all stakeholders. Requirements: Education/Certification: BA or BS in Accounting or Finance. Experience Required: Five years of grant management experience working in a nonprofit environment. Federal Head Start grants experience is a plus. Three to five years of accounting experience. Advanced user in Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and the internet. Sage/MIP software experience is a plus. Skills/Abilities: Strong understanding of funder contract requirements, policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements related to funding. Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Expert-level Excel skills and at least intermediate Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills. Strong skills and ability in budgeting, accounting, and fiscal management. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, analyses, budgets, and projections. Ability to develop and manage action plans and projects, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Well organized, highly detail-oriented, accuracy-driven. Salary: $75,757-$94,696/Annually
