Assembly Technician, Manufacturing / Production

Role Overview You will be responsible for assembling precision mechanical components and subassemblies per engineering drawings and work instructions, ensuring quality standards, and supporting team production goals. This role plays a key part in bringing robot hardware to life by executing hands‑on work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Assemble precision mechanical components, subassemblies, and structures using hand and power tools
Follow detailed work instructions, assembly drawings, and basic diagrams
Install fasteners, bearings, shafts, linkages, and other hardware
Perform basic inspections to check part fit, alignment, and quality
Use measuring tools such as calipers, torque wrenches, and gauges to ensure proper assembly
Handle small parts with care and maintain clean, organized work areas
Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and ESD precautions where applicable
Collaborate with team members to meet daily and weekly production goals
Communicate any issues, defects, or delays to leads, supervisors, or quality staff
2+ years of experience working in a fast-paced assembly environment focused on mechanical assembly
Ability to read and follow written work instructions, diagrams, or basic assembly drawings
Experience using hand tools and basic measuring equipment (e.g. screwdrivers, torque wrenches, calipers)
Comfortable working with small mechanical parts and performing repetitive tasks
Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical assembly processes
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to stand, walk, and perform hands‑on work for extended periods
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly
Willingness to follow safety protocols, including ESD handling procedures
Dependable, punctual, and able to work well in a team-oriented environment
Good manual dexterity and fine motor skills for precision work
Benefits & Compensation Salary Range: $22 – $60 per hour
