Horizon House is actively seeking a Life Enrichment Associate to help plan and deliver meaningful activities that support the physical, mental, and social well-being of our residents.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a compassionate caring attitude, be an organized individual with experience engaging older adults—especially those with dementia—in meaningful activities. They will demonstrate strong communication skills, basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, and be comfortable working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Experience in event coordination or volunteer coordination in long-term care is a plus.
What You’ll Do
Assist in organizing and leading daily, weekly, and monthly activities and events.
Provide personalized one-on-one and small group engagement.
Support logistics for activities, including setup and transportation.
Facilitate video calls and visits between residents and families.
Observe and report any resident needs and changes.
Maintain accurate participation records and assist with documentation.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year experience with the geriatric population, including but not limited to dementia, complex family dynamics, and transition plans
1-year administrative experience (highly preferred)
1 year experience in a customer service position (highly preferred)
Proficient with Office 365 (Publisher, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel)
Proficient with using an iPad and Apple products • Dementia & Mental Health Training (training available via Horizon House) • Proven organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Proven skill communicating with older adults
Ability to work beyond normal working hours (including weekends and holidays); flexibility with work schedule to meet operational needs
