Valor Healthcare is seeking a passionate Clinical Medical Director to join the team at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Oswego, NY.

Core Responsibilities
Actively participate in and oversee the diagnoses and treatment of veterans.
Manage day-to-day medical operations, ensure high-quality clinical outcomes, and provide exceptional patient service.
Achieve and maintain excellent clinical outcomes through chart reviews, direct observation, and adherence to VA guidelines.
Ensure all colleagues provide excellent customer service to veterans, and to fellow staff and clinic visitors.
Participate in managing the clinic’s financial performance.
Participate in the clinic’s outreach events to support enrollment initiatives.
Support patient enrollment and retention by guiding scheduling, follow-up visits, or nurse visits.
Maintain staffing levels aligned with veteran enrollment and contract terms to sustain outcomes.
Review and analyze reporting, alerts, and notifications.
Ensure clinic metrics meet or exceed VA thresholds.
Recruit, coach, mentor, and retain talent through strong communication, training, and performance management as required.
Develop and maintain a positive, collaborative relationship with VA partners and keep leadership informed of significant issues.
Innovate and support clinical or operational initiatives that drive Valor’s success.
Qualifications
4+ years of clinical medical practice with healthcare management experience preferred; government healthcare environment preferred; specifics may vary by VA contract.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Board certified in family practice or internal medicine.
Must be credentialed and in good standing with the Veterans Health Administration (VA).
Valid, unrestricted medical license in the state of employment or applicable state(s) per VA requirements.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS as required by VA contract.
Current, unrestricted DEA registration.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Excellent computer skills.
Ability to manage and influence diverse teams.
Energetic and optimistic demeanor with a strong service orientation.
Ability to resolve colleague, client, and patient issues effectively and in a timely manner.
