Overview
Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is an award-winning, academic public healthcare system recognized for innovation and community excellence. We are recruiting for an Optometrist to work on weekends. Join our vibrant and growing Division of Ophthalmology. CHA has three hospital campuses and an integrated network of primary and specialty care sites in Cambridge, Somerville and Boston’s metro north region. CHA serves diverse communities and is a teaching affiliate of
Harvard Medical School
and a clinical affiliate of
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center .
Responsibilities
Provide care on weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday or both) at CHA Eye Center locations in Malden and Somerville
Work part-time employed or per-diem options
Collaborate with CHA ophthalmologists and optometrists to provide eye care for patients of all ages
Perform routine eye exams, contact lens fittings, and assist ophthalmologists in the care of patients with medical and surgical ophthalmic conditions
No on-call required – daytime hours
Harvard Medical School appointment of Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor, commensurate with HMS appointment criteria, candidate qualifications and teaching responsibilities
Qualifications
Excellent clinical and communication skills and a strong commitment to serving multicultural, underserved patient populations
