Responsibilities
Provides leadership, empowerment, accountability and vision for Regional Managers and site teams. Assists with supervision and oversight for site teams when there is a gap in Regional Manager leadership. Sets goals for Regional team and ensures accountability. Demonstrates proactive strategic thinking and problem-solving. Participates in team meetings, offering strategic input to meet enterprise business goals and address complex issues. Accountable for portfolio performance and ensuring teams have resources, training, and support to be successful. Identifies and executes initiatives to meet company objectives. Leads rollouts of new policies & procedures as a key stakeholder. Consults with Human Resources and leadership on high-level personnel issues including recognition, compensation, and terminations. Financial & Administrative
Reviews and approves budgets for the Regional team. Provides training and guidance on budget creation and management. Holds Regional Managers responsible for the financial success of their portfolio. Ensures adherence to documentation and reporting requirements; maintains metrics to identify trends and provide input and support to regions as needed. Provides reports to leadership and owners as needed. Client Relations, Quality of Service & Marketing
Sets standards for building a true sense of community and addresses resident concerns; maintains strong client relationships and adapts to various communication styles. Attends regular client meetings and serves as an escalation point for concerns. Ensures high standard of customer service and holds teams accountable to it. Manages marketing, leasing, and analytics in partnership with Marketing and Accounting to provide market insights, financials, and analysis to leadership and clients. Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
Maintains awareness of incidents, identifies patterns, and mitigates risk. Ensures all staff operate in accordance with company policies and applicable laws (OSHA, Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA, etc.). Monitors regulatory changes and ensures regions are prepared to address them. Work Environment & Qualifications
3+ years in multi-family housing in a leadership role; preferably in the Seattle area. 2+ years as a Regional Manager with experience leading a large team and portfolio. Proficient in Yardi, On-Site and Microsoft Office; experience creating and overseeing budgets and property financials. Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS). Driver’s license and insurance coverage (travel to properties is essential). Desirable competencies include strong communication, leadership of large teams, conflict navigation, deadline orientation, delegation with direction and accountability, strategic decision-making, market awareness, and organized, detail-oriented work style.
