Crothall Healthcare is seeking a Senior Assistant Director of Plant Operations in Washington, DC. The role is responsible for the overall management of all Central Plant Operations & Maintenance activities within the healthcare environment. Job Summary:

Working as the Senior Assistant Director of Plant Operations, you are responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling functions and activities of all central plant services under the scope of the contract. This is in an acute care hospital environment. Responsibilities: Reviews and evaluates existing programs, services, policies and procedures Monitors quality and flow of work to assure timely completion of tasks, computerized programs for preventive and corrective maintenance, workload and adherence to facility’s standards and regulations Ensures regulatory compliance with the Joint Commission, State Health Department, EPA, ADA, and other regulatory agencies Reviews and evaluates existing preventative maintenance program Plans, coordinates, and monitors construction and development of physical facilities related to the central plant & HVAC infrastructure throughout the hospital Reviews, evaluates, and recommends approval of plans for construction related to the central plant infrastructure & HVAC infrastructure Advises on structural changes and additions and/or modifications to buildings related to the central plant infrastructure & HVAC infrastructure Provides guidance, training, and motivation to staff Successfully provides effective client rapport to build a mutually advantageous business relationship Monitors work performance and prepares and/or reviews performance evaluations for assigned personnel Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree highly preferred DC engineer license strongly preferred Work history with planning, organizing, coordinating, and/or communicating programs, services, policies and/or procedures within the central plant, HVAC & Controls shops Should have proficiency in CMMS Systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Ability to meet deadlines and make sound decisions, sometimes under stress Work whatever hours are necessary to maintain facility in a safe manner including nights and weekends Thorough knowledge of engineering, plant operations methods, techniques, maintenance, applicable codes and regulations Understands the use of departmental equipment and supplies, principles of management and supervision of staff and operations Ability to communicate optimally in written format and oral presentations Proficient in all Microsoft applications Ability to multi-task, prioritize and maintain organization in a changing environment Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership What We Offer: Medical Dental Vision Life Insurance/ AD Disability Insurance Retirement Plan Flexible Time Off Holiday Time Off (varies by site/state) Associate Shopping Program Health and Wellness Programs Discount Marketplace Identity Theft Protection Pet Insurance Commuter Benefits Employee Assistance Program Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) Paid Parental Leave Personal Leave Crothall Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer.
