Primary Purpose:
Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers to the campus. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy in all interactions. Support front office operations, ensure safety protocol compliance, and perform duties of the principal's secretary when needed.
Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED required Some college preferred Valid Texas driver's license (preferred for ID verification duties) Special Knowledge/Skills:
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Ability to operate multi-line phone systems and basic office equipment Strong organizational and multitasking skills Proficient in the use of computers and software applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite Knowledge of school visitor safety systems (e.g., Raptor Technologies) Familiarity with FERPA, HIPAA, and Texas Education Code §26.004 regarding student records and confidentiality Experience:
Prior office or receptionist experience preferred School office experience strongly preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Reception & Communication:
Greet visitors, staff, and students with professionalism and courtesy • Answer multi-line telephone system, route calls appropriately, and take messages accurately • Communicate effectively with district administrators, staff, students, and parents
Maintain a welcoming and professional front office environment Safety & Security:
Monitor and manage campus access through Raptor Technologies or similar system • Follow district procedures for verifying identification and issuing visitor badges • Ensure all visitors sign in and out in accordance with district policies Participate in and perform metal detector screening duties as assigned Report any safety or security concerns to the campus principal immediately

Clerical Support: Provide general clerical assistance to the campus office staff Support the principal's secretary during absences or high-volume periods • Prepare and distribute communications, forms, and documentation as needed • Maintain accurate visitor logs and front desk records Assist with mail distribution and deliveries Working Conditions:

Maintain emotional control under stress Work with frequent interruptions Prolonged use of computer and telephone Occasional bending, lifting, or reaching May involve moderate standing when performing metal detector or visitor screening duties
