Per Diem Patient Care Specialist

is crucial to our team's success, welcoming and registering patients with warmth and efficiency. You will guide and schedule patients and their visitors while handling various administrative tasks. This is a per diem role (as needed) with work hours between 7:00 AM and 6:30 PM PST, Monday to Saturday. Onsite attendance is required, and there may be opportunities for occasional overtime depending on business needs. We provide between 4 to 6 weeks of comprehensive on-the-job training tailored to your schedule. Key Responsibilities: Greet patients upon arrival and manage their wait times effectively. Handle check-in and check-out duties, including insurance verification and document processing. Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles while providing receipts. Manage the cashier box and ensure daily deposits comply with company policies. Assist walk-in patients and visitors as needed. Answer phone calls, assist with inquiries, and schedule appointments. Maintain medical records by filing, scanning, and preparing for schedules. Ensure all correspondence is properly scanned or filed and process medical record release requests. Build and maintain strong relationships with patients and staff. Perform additional related duties as required. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED. Must be at least 18 years old. Minimum of 1 year of customer service or healthcare-related experience. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work onsite at 100 A Drakes Landing Road, Greenbrae, CA 94904. Flexible with a per diem schedule between 7:00 AM and 6:30 PM PST from Monday to Saturday. Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of experience with electronic health records. 1+ years of healthcare-related experience, particularly in scheduling. Experience managing multi-system phone lines. Familiarity with medical terminology. Aptitude for handling cash and performing mathematical calculations. Essential Soft Skills: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating sound judgment and accountability. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Capacity to multitask and effectively prioritize to meet deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey and interpret information clearly. Compensation is determined by various factors including local labor markets, work experience, education, certifications, and more.
