Position Summary The Vice President of Operations plays a critical role in driving organizational growth, achieving key performance objectives, and translating strategic goals into actionable initiatives. This leader champions operational excellence, promotes a culture of continuous improvement, and empowers teams to deliver superior results. The role requires close collaboration across departments and locations to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Execution Develop and implement operational strategies that support the company’s overall business goals. Lead capital investment planning, automation projects, and facility optimization efforts. Align operational objectives with growth plans, including potential acquisitions and expansions. Leadership & Talent Development Oversee operations across multiple sites, ensuring seamless coordination and performance. Cultivate an environment of open communication, collaboration, and positive team dynamics. Drive a culture of accountability, recognition, and continuous employee growth. Mentor and coach leaders to build organizational leadership capabilities. Operational Management Standardize processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure operations adhere to the highest standards of safety, quality, and service excellence. Promote cross-site collaboration and the sharing of best practices. Financial Oversight Manage facility-level P&L performance with a strong focus on fiscal discipline. Track and improve key performance metrics related to cost control, productivity, and waste reduction. Support data-driven decision-making by establishing robust tools, controls, and processes. Customer Commitment Deliver consistently high-quality products and services that meet or exceed customer expectations. Accelerate time-to-market and drive innovation to maintain competitive advantage. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, acting as an advocate for customer needs. Continuous Improvement Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including standard work, 5S, audits, and mistake-proofing efforts. Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve quality issues. Foster a culture that embraces continuous improvement at every organizational level. Technology & Innovation Evaluate, implement, and leverage new technologies and automation solutions to improve operations. Stay informed on industry trends to keep the company at the forefront of innovation. Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and environmental requirements. Promote a quality-first mindset through proactive QA/QC programs. Performance Metrics Achieve high standards in product quality, cost efficiency, and waste reduction. Maintain strong on-time delivery performance. Optimize equipment uptime and first-pass yield. Drive high employee engagement and retention rates. Uphold rigorous safety standards and compliance. Qualifications Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum 10 years of senior operations leadership experience. At least 5 years in manufacturing, ideally in CPG or printing sectors, with multi-site management experience. Strong expertise in financial management, analytics, and leading organizational change. Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel up to 60%. Preferred Skills Experience working within a private equity-backed organization. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and ISO/BRC standards including audit experience.
