at 42 North Dental is a role focused on overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, supervising the accounting team, and supporting audits and compliance efforts. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, analytical thinker, and team leader with a solid understanding of GAAP and best practices in accounting. Responsibilities
Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data. Support the external audit process and liaise with auditors. Help develop and improve internal controls, processes, and documentation. Work cross-functionally with other departments to support financial needs. Participate in special projects and process automation initiatives. Supervise and mentor accounting staff; provide performance feedback and training as needed. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Qualifications
CPA designation Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Required Knowledge
5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a multi-entity or fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel. Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and communication skills. Leadership potential and interest in growing into a management position Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $100,000 to $120,000 based on experience. Full Benefits Package. Location
