Role overview: As a Client-Facing Technical Architect specializing in Dynamics 365 ERP implementations, you will lead the design and delivery of high-value solutions for Crowe clients, ensuring quality, alignment with business goals, and client satisfaction across complex projects. You will collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external partners to architect enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

Own the target architecture for D365 F&O and integrated applications across Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and Azure (Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Key Vault).

Select and apply integration patterns (Dual‑write/Dataverse, OData, DMF, File/Batch, Event‑driven, API‑first) and design secure, versioned APIs.

Design data & analytics strategies (BYOD/Export to Data Lake, ADLS, Fabric/Synapse‑ready models, Power BI semantic models) for reporting, automation, and AI.

Embed non‑functional requirements (performance, reliability, security, compliance, operability, cost) with clear SLOs and testable acceptance criteria.

Delivery Leadership

Serve as the primary client‑facing technical lead from discovery through go‑live and hypercare; guide backlog, scope, estimates, and technical risk mitigation.

Establish environments, integration patterns, security, and DevOps pipelines to enable rapid and safe feature delivery.

Ensure technical deliverables meet quality standards, align with objectives, and foster a referenceable client experience.

Establish and enforce engineering standards: code review, branching, solution layering, extensibility (X++/extensions), telemetry, and documentation.

Identify opportunities for collaboration with Crowe Technical specialists and Microsoft FastTrack to improve outcomes.

Copilot & AI Enablement

Build ERP and integration solutions that surface the right data for Copilot, reporting, and analytics.

Embed automation and intelligence to improve efficiency, quality, and decision-making.

Help clients adopt Copilot and AI capabilities in a controlled, value‑driven manner with balance of innovation, compliance, and security.

Advisory, Pre‑Sales & Thought Leadership

Shape proposals/SoWs, lead client demos and technical deep‑dives, contribute to estimates and delivery approaches.

Create reusable accelerators, reference architectures, best‑practice playbooks; mentor engineers and consultants.

Qualifications

Mandatory: 8+ years designing and delivering enterprise solutions on Microsoft platforms; 5+ years with D365 F&O/AX and/or CE (2–3 full cycle implementations in architect/lead roles).

Hands-on knowledge of D365 F&O extensibility (X++ review, extension patterns, data entities, DMF), environment strategy, and LCS.

Proven architecture experience across Power Platform and Azure integration services (Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus/Event Grid).

Strong integration experience (OData/REST, webhooks/events, batch/ETL via ADF/Fabric, message‑based patterns).

Non‑functional design ownership (security, performance, resiliency, observability) with measurable SLOs and test strategies.

Production experience with ALM (solutions, pipelines, Git, unit/automated UI tests).

Strong security & governance knowledge (Entra ID, RBAC, DLP, environment strategy).

Excellent client communication and consulting acumen (scope, estimates, risk/issue management).

People management experience: team leadership, coaching, performance feedback, and resource planning.

Nice-to-Have

Experience with Dataverse/Dualwrite, D365 Supply Chain/Commerce/CE integrations, or Manufacturing domain depth.

Familiarity with Copilot Studio and RAG patterns.

Microsoft certifications (Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Solution Architect Expert, Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant, Power Platform Solution Architect Expert / Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
