Project Management Director: Life Sciences – Cincinnati, Ohio / Cary, North Carolina. Jacobs is seeking a seasoned Project Management Director to lead EPCM projects in the Life Sciences sector, guiding multi-office teams and delivering complex facilities from concept through commissioning. What you'll do

Lead and manage EPCM projects related to industrial facilities with a minimum of 5 years in Life Science, ensuring scope, budgets, reports, contracts, and schedules align with stakeholder objectives. Mentor and develop project managers and engineers; oversee day-to-day management of teams, staff recruitment and development, and performance of projects. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams; facilitate collaboration and effective communication to drive project success. Ensure safety culture across design, office, and site locations; incorporate design safety and site safety practices into project execution. Oversee multi-office project execution, providing support across engineering, procurement, construction management, and commissioning (EPCM) elements. Develop proposals, estimate design services hours, and translate client needs into implementable solutions. Monitor costs, budgets, and schedules; apply cost management techniques including forecasting and earned value management. Provide leadership in resource planning, risk management, and delivering high-quality advanced manufacturing facilities. Requirements and qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline; or equivalent experience At least 15 years of experience managing EPCM projects in industrial facilities, with a minimum of 5 years in Life Sciences Ability to mentor PMs and Project Engineers; strong leadership and interpersonal skills Strong safety culture and knowledge of design safety, with experience across design, office, and on-site locations Experience in multi-office project execution; broad engineering knowledge across infrastructure, process, utilities, and support facilities Experience in design project cost management, forecasting, earned value, and meeting design budgets Experience in developing proposals, estimating design services hours, and collaborating with clients to define solutions Program Management experience including Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management and Commissioning (EPCM) Preferred certifications: CCM, PE, PMP, or Architect license/certification Preferred qualifications

Strong working knowledge in design and construction, building systems/components, contract management, and project delivery methods Experience with Life Science facility design over $500M construction value Travel willingness for short-term client-site visits (potential international) Existing relationships with Life Science clients; prior field experience is helpful Compensation and benefits

The base pay range is $179,100.00 per year to $295,000.00 per year. Within this range, pay is determined by location and factors including skills, experience, and education. Jacobs offers health benefits (medical, dental, vision), basic life insurance, 401(k), stock purchase options, and potential for additional rewards such as bonuses and stock-based compensation. U.S. employees may have access to deferred compensation plans and PPTO, with holidays and caregiver leave as applicable. Some roles may be eligible for additional rewards.
