Koniag Information Technology Services (KITS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a ServiceNow Enterprise Architect to support our Army customer. This is a remote position.

The ServiceNow Enterprise Architect will be responsible for providing comprehensive architecture support for ServiceNow implementation within the DoD Architecture Framework. This remote role will focus on developing and maintaining enterprise architecture with specific emphasis on ServiceNow platform integration within the Army Materiel Command (AMC) enterprise. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ServiceNow architecture and implementation, along with knowledge of DoD architecture frameworks and enterprise solution development.
Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Provide architecture support using the latest approved version of the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
Adhere to officially published Army and DoD policies, guidance, and regulations
Develop and maintain a Communications Architecture to visualize the AMC communications enterprise with focus on ServiceNow integration
Design and maintain Enterprise Solution Architectures for ServiceNow implementation
Provide expert input into strategic and technical planning efforts for ServiceNow and related systems
Assist in developing baseline architecture, target architecture, and sequencing plans
Support established Enterprise Solution Architecture Programs
Develop, track, and report program metrics and performance indicators
Identify and mitigate program risks related to ServiceNow architecture and implementation
Coordinate and facilitate program meetings with stakeholders
Develop and maintain comprehensive program documentation
Design ServiceNow architecture that aligns with DoD and Army standards
Create DoDAF-compliant architecture viewpoints and models for ServiceNow implementation
Provide architecture support for initiating, developing, using, and maintaining organizational Enterprise Solution Architectures
Ensure ServiceNow architecture integrates effectively with existing enterprise systems
Develop strategic roadmaps for ServiceNow platform evolution
Design scalable and secure ServiceNow solutions that meet DoD requirements
Create architectural patterns and standards for ServiceNow implementation
Support data architecture and integration strategies for ServiceNow
Provide technical guidance on ServiceNow platform capabilities and limitations
Ensure architecture compliance with security requirements and best practices
Education and Experience: Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
7+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, systems architecture, or related role
5+ years of experience with ServiceNow platform architecture and implementation
Experience with DoDAF or other enterprise architecture methodologies
Background in enterprise solution architecture development
Required Skills and Competencies: Expert knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture and capabilities
Experience with ServiceNow implementation in complex enterprises
Knowledge of DoDAF methodologies and viewpoints
Experience developing enterprise architecture documentation
Strong understanding of integration patterns and techniques for ServiceNow
Experience with ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITBM, ITOM, and CSM
Knowledge of ServiceNow application development and customization
Understanding of enterprise service management concepts and implementation
Experience with architecture development tools and repositories
Ability to develop baseline architectures, target architectures, and transition plans
Strong analytical skills for developing metrics and performance indicators
Experience with risk identification and mitigation strategies
Excellent facilitation skills for coordinating program meetings
Strong documentation skills for maintaining architecture artifacts
Understanding of DoD and Army IT governance processes
Experience translating business requirements into architectural components
Knowledge of systems integration and interoperability concepts
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to present complex architectural concepts to diverse audiences
Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances as needed
Desired Skills and Competencies: Master's degree in a relevant technical field
ServiceNow Certified System Architect
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
Architecture certifications (TOGAF, DoDAF, etc.)
Experience working with Army or DoD architecture initiatives
Knowledge of AMC's mission, structure, and IT landscape
Experience with architecture modeling tools (Sparx EA, IBM Rational, etc.)
Background in cloud architecture and implementation
Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA)
Knowledge of cybersecurity architecture principles
Experience with IT portfolio management
Background in data architecture and management
Experience with agile architecture methodologies
Knowledge of business process modeling
Understanding of network architecture principles
Experience with technology roadmapping
Background in solution architecture for complex systems
Knowledge of IT service management best practices
