Position Summary The OB/GYN Women’s Health Provider delivers high-quality, patient-centered reproductive and women’s health services in a community health setting. This position provides comprehensive obstetric, gynecologic, and preventive health care to women across the lifespan, with an emphasis on serving underserved and diverse populations consistent with the mission of the FQHC. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide outpatient obstetric and gynecologic services, including:
Prenatal and obstetric care, including dating ultrasounds and postpartum follow-up.
Well-woman exams, Pap smears, and preventive screenings.
Contraceptive counseling and education, including birth control options.
IUD insertion and removal.
Nexplanon insertion and removal.
Colposcopy and follow-up treatment.
STI testing, treatment, and patient education.
Educate patients on preventive care, health promotion, and chronic disease management related to women’s health.
Collaborate with other providers, and other staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
Perform and interpret gynecologic diagnostic procedures as credentialed.
Provide hospital-based obstetric and gynecologic care, including deliveries and surgeries (for MDs with privileges — highly desirable but not required).
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, care team huddles, and compliance with UDS and HRSA performance measures.
Participate in call coverage as assigned.
Demonstrate flexibility and a team-oriented approach to care delivery across multiple clinic sites.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong commitment to the FQHC mission and serving vulnerable communities.
Proficiency in women’s health procedures, including IUD/Nexplanon insertion/removal, colposcopy, STD treatment, and prenatal care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients and collaborate with staff.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
