The Material Planner ensures all packaging and ingredients are in place to enable operational and production continuity. Works with internal and external parties to ensure supply of materials is in place to satisfy production requirements.

This person should be able to deliver efficient, effective, and flexible solutions to meet production demand planning requirements. In addition, they will review consumption of packaging and ingredients in process orders to determine accuracy of BOM's and maintaining master data setups.

How you will make contributions that matter

Responsible for creating purchase orders or stock transfers of packaging and ingredients for assigned locations. Creates stock transfers as required for sites with storage offsite.

Executes MRP utilizing SAP and in accordance with standard business procedures and inventory policies.

Responsible for maintaining master data and making adjustments (where needed) as per approved business processes.

Ensures system generated pick lists function appropriately to direct staging of materials for production, to meet the production schedule.

Monitors inventory movements of packaging and ingredients at a location for potential issues that will impact accuracy and timeliness of planning decisions.

Responsible for escalating issues of inventory control that do not follow company processes, and/or will impact business.

Reviews consumption of packaging and ingredients in process orders to determine accuracy and identifies for BOM correction if needed.

Identifies potential material shortages and works with procurement to pursue missing materials. Escalates (potential) material shortage issues to Production Planner or Manager, Production Planner.

Works cooperatively with planning community and other manufacturing locations.

Monitor and escalate issues of potential material obsolescence.

Performs other duties as assigned.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following experience, skills, and qualifications

Bachelor's degree, Accounting, Inventory Management or Supply Chain preferred.

Minimum of 2 years related professional experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience at a minimum.

Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems, SAP preferred.

Solid verbal/written communication skills and ability to effectively interact with both plant and planning team employees.

Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.

Strong analytic and technical skills.

Must be self-motivated, results oriented, possess high degree of initiative, and work well under pressure.

Salary Range: $71,805 - $94,245

Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, skills, and training.
