Lead a team that supports and facilitates new loan origination and portfolio monitoring with Truist’s Wholesale Credit Delivery team. This team supports complex debt structuring, underwriting and portfolio management for Middle Market Wholesale clients, a core growth strategy for Truist Corporate & Commercial Bank (TCCB). Engage with Head of UW&PM, RPs and CRMs to proactively identify emerging credit issues within the portfolio and challenge the PM organization teammates where appropriate to ensure early detection and initiate risk mitigation actions; influence client and portfolio decisions. Recruitment, development and retention of engaged teammates with regular 1x1 conversations, training, coaching and mentoring; identify training needs and execute targeted training. Maintain deep knowledge of relevant industry/region banking portfolios and client knowledge; stay current on market trends related to loan structures/pricing and peer lending behaviors; partner with CIG peers to deliver complex financing solutions; maintain knowledge of Capital Markets solutions and market drivers. Engage with internal assurance functions (e.g., SunTrust Audit Services, Credit Review) and regulatory examinations; participate in remediating regulatory matters under risk oversight. Span of control generally 8-12 direct reports; collaborate with Line of Business, Credit Risk, Credit Risk Review, Clients, Technology, Compliance, etc. Autonomy in decision-making; oversee all team activities within loan authority; lead action forces and projects independently. Project/Program management for regulatory, risk, and compliance issues. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 15+ years of underwriting, portfolio administration, commercial loan credit decision making. Subject matter expert level understanding of accounting and finance, financial statement and cash flow analysis; Mastery level proficiency with MS Office; strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills. 10 years of management experience.
