OVERVIEW:
The Administrative Field Assistant will provide administrative support to the Planned Giving Directors. This position is a vital part of the Development team and requires efficient attention to detail.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Familiar with the goals and objectives of the Development Department and the Golden State Division
Support the mission of The Salvation Army
Understand and be able to explain the functions of The Salvation Army structure and planned giving fundraising techniques
Provide administrative and project management support to Planned Giving Directors as assigned
Reply to general correspondence as needed
Maintain appropriate donor files and database (s) as required by Planned Giving Directors
Ensure accuracy and up-to-date records are maintained on all donors
Ensure donations are promptly recorded, coded, and notified Donor Stewardship for inclusion on the Divisional centralized donor database
Assist in the planning and execution of special events and other marketing projects as assigned
Knowledge of Blackbaud software is a plus
Knowledge of Planned Gifts is a plus
Other related duties as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma (required)
CA Driver's license (preferred)
Associate Degree (Preferred)
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to take initiative
Detail-oriented accurate and precise and maintain accurate filing systems
Capable of handling and controlling multiple projects
Able to work independently with minimum supervision
Self-motivated and able to motivate others
EQUIPMENT USED:
Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (Usually file boxes)
