Associate Attorney
Coral Gables, Florida
Award Winning insurancedefense firm with more than 100 lawyers in multiple states seeking an associate attorney to join its busy Coral Gables office. This firm represents clients in all types of litigation, including employment and professional liability claims, complex product liability cases, GL and auto claims, trucking matters, insurance coverage disputes and more.

Ideal candidates will have 2-5 years attorney experience working in insurance defense. This includes litigation expereince in personal injury, professional liability claims,construction,insurance coverage disputes and more.
Responsibilities:
Managing caseload from inception to post-trial
Attending court conferences, oral arguments, depositions, mediations, and trials
Preparing pleadings, discovery/discovery responses, motions, and other litigation documents
Preparing timely reports regarding case status and ongoing activities
Ability to prioritize workload based on deadlines
Communicating effectively with clients, senior attorneys and paralegals
Meeting billing requirements
Completing tasks as assigned in a timely manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Must be a member in good standing of the Florida bar
Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills with the ability to interact with attorneys, paralegals, court personnel, opposing counsel, clients, and office staff in a professional manner.
Ability to delegate and prioritize as necessary.
Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
