An Amazing Career Opportunity for a Senior Technical Consultant with HID’s Credential Management segment. Location: Remote, US. Job ID: 42110. You will serve a dual role supporting both Pre-Sales and Professional Services functions, focusing on the U.S. Public Sector. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners, driving strategic engagements and delivering secure, scalable identity and credential management solutions. In Pre-Sales, you will provide expert guidance to sales teams, shape deal strategies, and represent HID through product demonstrations, tender responses, and industry events. In Professional Services, you will lead complex implementations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery tailored to customer requirements. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, proactive, and adept at working remotely while collaborating with account managers, partners, and customers across the Americas. Collaborate with sales to position and demonstrate HID Global solutions that meet customer needs, facilitate evaluations and tailored demos, provide ongoing technical support, act as a trusted Technical Account Manager, build long-term relationships with key accounts and partners, and document opportunities in Salesforce for accurate tracking. Work with channel partners to align strategies and drive success; support solution marketing through datasheets, whitepapers, case studies, and digital outreach; deliver advanced technical training and resources via HID Academy to empower internal teams and partners. Lead customer workshops and meetings as a subject matter expert; design, implement, test, and document HID Global solutions; produce and review technical documentation including requirements and solution design; support partner API integration inquiries; resolve technical issues to ensure successful project delivery. Act as a trusted advisor and product expert in Identity and Access Management, guiding partners through HID product integration, addressing procurement-related technical concerns, sharing industry insights, and leading technical discussions to align on requirements and capabilities. Engage with global teams to provide field insights that influence product development; represent HID at industry events; drive initiatives to enhance Sales Engineering efficiency; lead execution of RFPs, RFIs, and technical questionnaires. Create and maintain product documentation, videos, and knowledge-based articles; align with Product Owners on customer needs and trends; stay current with developments in information security and Identity and Access Management. Experience and background
Technical degree (BS Computer Science, Engineering or related field). Candidates with equivalent education plus relevant work experience may also be considered. CISSP and industry standard IT/Security certifications are a plus. Minimum 7+ years’ experience within Professional Services, Technical Pre-sales or similar; experience in Identity Management services is advantageous. Proficient in Windows Server and Linux administration. Experience in identity and credential technologies: PKI, MFA, OAuth, OATH, OpenID, GlobalPlatform/OpenPlatform, Java Card. Strong understanding of system and network components, including web applications, network protocols (SSL/TLS, VPN, IPSec, RDP), PACS, proxy servers, and load balancers. Deep knowledge of authentication and directory services: SAML, RADIUS, LDAP, Microsoft AD, Entra ID, AWS, and related solutions. Experience with application servers (IIS, Tomcat, WebSphere, JBoss, WebLogic) and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with database systems: MS SQL Server, Oracle, AWS RDS, PostgreSQL. In-depth understanding of U.S. Government security standards and compliance frameworks: FIPS 201, NIST SP 800-73, FIPS 140, GSC-IS v2. Strong understanding and hands-on experience with identity management, including authentication, digital signing, access control, data protection, and securing digital credentials (e.g., smart cards, mobile devices, security keys).
